Most Helpful Customer Reviews

17 of 17 people found the following review helpful By Ronald S Jackson on November 21, 2002
Format: Paperback
When I was a botany student at Queen's years ago I happened on the book in the library. It so thrilled me that I preferred to read it than study my courses. It also created a need to see the natural cathedral Dr. Braun so lovingly described. However, when I had the opportunity to do so, I was concerned that it would not live up to the glorious image her writing had created. Thankfully, I need not to have been so concerned, it was everything she had described but in reality.
Dr. Braun's work is one of the few text books that reads like a novel. It is a must for all lovers of forests.
