This album is good I guess but I think it needs more just something more I don't know what but its missing something but other than that its alright I guess.
Warren
The production is very good, with solid performances from all musicians but at times the lyrics do become juvenile.

Having never heard anything from the band before, Winds of Plague have made a great first impression with "Decimate the Weak". It is not an album that will completely blow someone away, but it is very much an enjoyable listen and shows of great promise for future growth and potential.

The band reminded me of Himsa at parts, but the guitarists just aren't as skilled, yet. Other parts are reminicent of Becoming The Archtype, but without some of the long boring interludes. The production is very good, with solid performances from all musicians but at times the lyrics do become juvenile.

The greatest highlight of the album is the use of the keyboards which create a pleasent and serene atmosphere behind the aggressive rhythm. This is best showcased in "Unbreakable", "One Body Too Many" and especially in "Legions". Where I would like to see the band improve on this would be to continue its use during the sped-up blast beats more often as is done during "Legions".

It may not be the album of the year on anyone's list, however it is a solid performance and does show that Wings of Plague will be heard from again. None of the songs on the album are throw aways and will call for repeat listens.

I have been searching for a new metal bands for awhile I listen to ( lamb of god, unearth, dark tranquillity, after the burial, born of osiris, august burns red, chimaira, darkest hour, soilwork, sybreed, war of ages, sylosis, the agony scene, as i lay dying, daath, himsa, the haunted, god forbid, in flames, white chapel, suicide silence, shadows fall, textures, trivium, veil of maya, bleed the sky, the black dahlia murder, devil driver, pantera, and many many more) but this band is by far the best new metal band I have come across. Both cds of thier"s are masterpieces every song is totally EPIC. The guitars are CRUSHING the drums are nonstop perfection and the keyboards only add to the overall EPICNESS of it all. This cd is a must have! BUY IT NOW you won't regret it!!!!!!!

Ok, I have never written a review before mainly cause I hate writing but after listening to this cd many times within the last couple weeks, I felt compelled to do so. That being said, this is one of my favorite metal albums of all time. The keyboards, the guitars, the incredible drumming, its all so addictive to listen to.

One of the main things that stands out with this album (and band) is the use of keyboards which creates a very distinct atmosphere. With out these, I don't think the album would have had as much of an impact on me.

I won't ramble on and on and I apologize if my review isn't very informative but I felt that I should at least encourage any metal fan to at least give this one a shot. You won't regret it!

I'm not a huge Death Metal guy, but I have started taking an interest in some of the Deathcore bands coming out in the last year or two. This band is definitely one of the best to date. This album brings an awesome blend of heavy guitar riffing with melodic keys. This also has a lot more chugga, chugga and less eeh, eeh.

About a minute into the song Anthems of Apocalypse, there is one of the most awesome solos in history. It's very rare for a song to completely grab you and make you feel what they were feeling when they wrote it. This solo does it.

Although the vocalist's lyrics may not be the best, his presentation definitely makes you feel like you can crush everyone in your wake and not think twice about it as they inconvenienced you. Definitely worth the price.

Wow these guys are something else. They blend beautiful choirs and strings with heavy deathmetal. Johnny has a unique scream aswell. First I will list the pros and then the cons.

Pros
The mixture of the guitars and keys go together beautifuly and just make a unique sound. The screams add the icing. The drums are what stand out the most to me. The double bass hits you hard and makes you want to punch something.

Cons
The lyrics you can tell were written in about a day and pretty much say the same thing in every song. With such a sweet band one would think that the lyrics would follow, but alas no. Some of the fills just get boring and leave you wanting them to be over and have them pick up the pace. This is all I really thought lacked.

Songs the Check out
-One Body To Many
-Unbreakable
-Anthems Of Apocalypse

I give this album 1 out of 5 stars. Honestly the only reason I bought this album was because it was 5 dollars. Prior to buying this album I was not a fan of Winds of Plague but I thought for 5 dollars they deserve another chance. After hearing the Uncreative rhythms, dull and boring vocals, and just the putrid lyrics I can honestly say that this album will not see a lot of listens.
