Uninspiring graphics
I have had to read the entire text for a course, and it is not a particularly interesting book to read - at times the author seems a bit verbose. Figures in the textbook are in black, gray and white - very monotonous. Most have a gradient background that fades from dark grey to white. This makes reading the book difficult at times, especially when the text in the...

I have had to read the entire text for a course, and it is not a particularly interesting book to read - at times the author seems a bit verbose. Figures in the textbook are in black, gray and white - very monotonous. Most have a gradient background that fades from dark grey to white. This makes reading the book difficult at times, especially when the text in the figure is in the dark grey section. It would have been better to have no background at all.
The summary of key points is helpful, but the layout needs work. The Index does not include some important terms.
