If you like Wayman, you'll love this album!!,

This album takes you on a journey. It is something you can pop in the CD player and let it spin and give you pleasant grooves for a candle light dinner, a lazy Sunday afternoon mellow mix, or just quiet time for yourself. It's all of that and more ... It's one of those albums that helps you to be creative and imaginative. Wayman takes you away to other places through the music ... and that's what I've come to expect from him ... a journey to another place.

Folks, this man is for real!,

The former NBA star's transition from basketball to music is as smooth as the material on this record. With "Decisions," Wayman proves that he definitely has what it takes to thrive in the music business. Much of the material on this album is more smooth jazz than what was whipped up on "Power Forward" and "In the Zone," which had more R&B and fusion flavors. There are even some Latin American grooves in track 4.For those of you who think ball players can't play music (yes, Shaquille O'Neal's attempt at rap was embarrassing for us all), give "Decisions" a spin. It is an excellent album and would be a perfect way to set the mood for a romantic evening with your loved one. A must-have for any fan of contemporary jazz.

Whoa! Basketball should have come second...,

Being a bit of a music snob, I found myself viewing this album with immense sketicism. 'Ball players can't play music. He's just trying to get over on his name.' I couldn't have been more wrong with Tisdale's Decisions. The selections go from sultry, to soulful, to soothing, to downright sexy. He never lets up on the listener, changing genre within the jazz arena like a music chameleon. This is without a doubt one of the best 20 jazz albums I've ever consumed aurally. Highly recommended - should be a part of any try afficianado's collection!

Wayman plays from the soul,

man...I can't say enough about this album. I've had this album for a few years now along with everything else released by Tisdale. I absolutely love this album. There are about 5 smooth jazz songs in my entire collection that can bring my hectic world to a soothing, fuzzy, warm, anesthetic, calm. "Fell in Love" is one of those. The Everette Harp/Tisdale collaboration is outstanding. By the way, "Better Days" the Harp/Tisdale collaboration on the title track of Harp's album is also one of the those magical five songs. Truly spirit-lifting music.

Tisdale has a very smooth flow in his music. I have enjoyed listening to all of his cd's in the past. I hope that he continues to pump out the smooth jazz sounds. It is a welcome change from today's rap and pop music.

I first heard track 3 (Ain't No Lovin') from this CD on Steve Quirk's Fusion Flavours program and immediately liked it...not only does Tisdale play bass, but he also sings!!! I purchased the cd and was just in awe over all of the tracks!!! This cd is a must have for anyone who is into smooth, contemporary jazz....truly, every bit of 5 stars and more....buy it...you won't be disappointed!!!

can he confirm he has made the right decision ?,

There is more than simply the anecdotical aspect that Wayman Tisdale played for more than 12 years in the NBA. It is a fact that Tisdale is a Marcus Miller disciple, and more than one track confirms it. Frenchman Marc Antoine also plays duo with Tisdale on a track. Not having heard "in the zone" or "power forward", it is hard for me to say if he's getting better or not, but it is an artist I will keep an eye on, because he DOES show he has more than average qualities and ability to become a great artist. In any case, I play it regularly on my show, on a Spanish F.M. radio.
