Bought these for my mom, she has macular degeneration and can hardly see anything. She can see these cards - it was getting very frustrating for her!

My friends and I, all senior citizens, get together to play cards and have had problems seeing a regular deck of cards. I found these and all of us are thrilled to be able to see the cards. These cards are making our card playing sessions much more fun. What a wonderful item.

These are interesting cards. While I find the Marinoff pattern on the Cartamundi Low Vision/Copag Magnum faces to be more interesting artistically (the Bicycle faces are almost hilarously bland), and probably more useful to colorblind players, the simple fact is that the Bicycle deck manages to be more things to more people at half the price of the Cartamundi paper cards.
For one thing, they're pretty much US Playing Card's only four-color deck, which tend to be somewhat popular with online players. Though this limits its usefulness for games that take suit color into account (like canasta or klondike), it does drastically minimize cheats like "dragon flushes" (mixed suits of the same color). It's also particularly useful for games like Fish or standard-deck Rook, where one can simply go on a "one of each color" rule. Since these cards are also four-index cards (with standard-colored indices on the right corners), they can also be used left-handed with no difficulty. The face designs are bland, to put it charitably (the ace of spades isn't even marked and the face cards are identical to the rest of the deck), but the colors in general make up for it. They shuffle and deal exactly like standard Bicycles and share an identical cardback, and come with a "color code" card that, although rather redundant (since there's a color-suit key on the back of the box), can be used as a third joker if for some reason you need one. The upshot of it is this -- they might make a nice change from your usual cards even if you don't need them. ADDENDUM: If you were going to run a low-budget poker tournament airing on, say, public access TV or YouTube, these cards would be excellent for the purpose, since the larger indices will show up much better on camera.

Cards are not only awesome for people with visual problems to tell the cards apart. I will be using them with my special needs students and they could be used with young children to play simple games.

Well it all.
The product is what it is, largely fulfills its promise. The quality is not the best.

The low vision cards I purchased are brilliant for nearly blind people to play bridge with - they are easy to sort into the hand and then easy to play with. My pupils are very low vision indeed but with the help of their own light and hand holders for the cards they play a mean game of bridge. Amazon were very prompt with delivery to Australia and their entire help service has been terrific. Thanks Amazom.

The cards are successfully designed to accommodate people with a number of different vision problems. Large print, multi-colored, they are especially valuable for the elderly, shut-ins or those with color-blindness.
