Denver-based Rock experimentalists Thinking Plague have released a small number of hugely praised, much loved albums in their nearly 30 years of existence. Despite the large number of years between albums, the personnel and signature sound of the ensemble remain and their releases are always easily identifiable. Working slowly and steadfastly, the group has released a handful of brilliant, art-rock classics. Decline and Fall is the 6th and latest of them.
Thinking Plague lays down some of the most rhythmically complex, texturally inventive, and melodically challenging popular music of the last 30 years, and somehow makes it all sound easy and natural. --All Music Guide
