I am a homeschool mom, although I believe this book was intended for teachers in a classroom. It was very difficult for me to find first readers that only had the hard consonant sounds and short vowels. This is it!! You tear out each sheet and staple it together to make a book. It is small enough that your fledgeling reader can get through it without frustration. My 5 yr. old daughter felt so proud when she actually read her first book with this! Highly recommend this along with Leapfrog letter factory DVD to get your child started reading.
