I really enjoyed reading this book. It's quite informative and there are a lot of marvelous photos of various types of china and glass in this book. They show diverse styles and patterns throughout the centuries and cultures. There is also a good section on how and where to store your china and glass. Such amazing things they can do with glass. I was impressed. I really liked the section on the art of the table. Can't get enough of the elegant table settings! Such beautiful kitchens in this book as well. It's a great book. I only wished it were longer.

Definitely a good coffee table or shelf book. Beautiful photos. I wish my kitchen looked like some of the photos! The author does a good job in trying to tell the reader where each piece in the photos are from or at least what kind they are. There is an index in the back and some store suggestions that have both the address of the store and the store's website which I found helpful.

I borrowed this book at the library. It is SO wonderful that I immediately ordered a copy for myself. If you love white ironstone and antique china like I do this book will not disappoint. Page after page of total bliss for me:)

I am a (recently hooked) collector of all kinds of interesting and beautiful dishware/stemware/flatware. I am up to 43 pattterns of dishware (not all complete sets because that would just be boring!), and I look for any and every occasion to mix & match my treasures. I have a great mix of bone china, stoneware, ceramics, melamine...all of which help create fabulous table settings. This book inspired further creations and collecting! The photography is stellar, the background information extremely helpful and interesting, and the advice sage. I really liked this book and offer applause for this addition to my other passion: decorating books!

I absolutely love this book. The collections are wonderful and the author's ideas for displaying are very good. I think she only scratched the surface of collections, though. Maybe she'll do another one?? I hope so!

I like this author but this book was not all that I hoped for. I wouldn't discourage from considering it or even to make the leap and go for the purchase, but keep in mind, good not great.
