About the Author

Marsha Winbeckler began her cake-decorating career in 1980 and discovered an immediate love of the art. She soon began teaching classes and was quickly hired by an international cake-decorating supply company to manage the teachers in their most-active market.

Teaching classes has taken Marsha across the U.S. and to Canada and Australia.

She has written many articles for American Cake Decorating Magazine and other trade publications.

Marsha has won many awards for her decorating abilities and is sought after as a cake show judge and demonstrator. She is a yearly demonstrator at the international cake decorators' conventions and is the author of several cake-decorating instruction books and a candy video.

She is the editor of two international cake-decorating newsletters, which are mailed to thousands of readers each month.

Marsha markets her books, videos, and classes through her company, Winbeckler Enterprises, in Kent, Washington, U.S.A.

This is a nice book but not one that i will use much.If you like using fondant you'll want to have this book.I like buttercream better & it takes better too.It does have some decorating ideas in it i will find useful.It goes over candy mold decorations,making leaves,lace pieces,ruffles,cutter flowers, hand-molded rose, and how to cover a cake with fondant.

For the price this book limited. It was not buttercream it was rolled sugar icing. I would not buy this book again.

I think that it was pricey for the little information given. It also could have used more pictures of cakes done this way.
