Extremely useful book
I found this book to be better than any other carving book I have purchased. The painting guides are accurate and detailed, the patterns are realistic and proportionate, and each species has several different head poses included. I use this book while carving and painting more than all of my others combined.

Book Review
This book had beautiful pictures of waterfowl, however, it is definitely designed for carvers. It has many patterns and paint suggestions.

I just recently started a carving class and I wanted to start carving a green wing teal. This book has good patterns not only of the green wing teal but several other marsh ducks. And painting advice is very good. I noticed that about five other carvers im my class also have the same book.

Very good book with patterns and colors. It has helped me with some of the details I needed to get some of the decoys made I am working on for Christmas presents. Great information, love the book.

Carve them ducks,

I started carving ducks about 2 months ago. I needed patterns and good photos to get the ducks to look right. This book did the job. The patterns and photos was all the help I needed, even unpainted you can clearly see what type of duck I carved.
