Good Iron base with limits,

I read a review that said this stand was too tall for their table, but decided to try it anyway as my table is black metal and it would be a perfect match. It is much nicer than other stands I have seen in plastic and other materials, but the height almost made it unusable for my table. After turning the table around, we were able to get it to set right without wobbling. I liked it so much that I was going to get some of those rubber protectors that are on step stools to put on my table to give it a little extra height, but I didn't have to. I would recommend this stand, but measure the height you have from your patio table's opening for the umbrella to the ground before purchasing.

I wanted this for under my patio table, but it is just a tad too high. However, it's been much more useful as a stand alone stand for when we want the umbrella but not the table. It's attractive and not too heavy to carry (or for my wife to move it if I'm not home). But beefy enough to keep the umbrella under control.

This stand is not of sufficient quality or weight to withstand a slight breeze without tipping over. The screw to anchor the umbrella in will not allow the umbrella to be evenly upright, which adds to the tipping problem. Do not waste your money.

This is a well built base, though a little lightweight. I'm going to drive stakes down on mine to keep the umbrellas
up, but for a non-windy day these will fit the bill for an eight foot umbrella. The hole is a little smaller than my rod of the umbrella, which can cause it to tilt in one direction, but not too badly. All in all, a very good price and attractive for your patio!

After researching many umbrella bases online, I feel that I picked out a great one! Very solid and sturdy. The person I gifted is planning to order a second one shortly.
