This review is from: Decorative Painting of the World: A Project Book of Folk Art (Hardcover)
I'm surprised Decorative Painting of the World hasn't yet been reviewed, it's such a nice book. It's well produced, with great photography. Each style is represented with authentic examples and clear, step-by-step photographs and instructions. The countries or styles are African Tribal, Mexican, Islamic, Bauernmalerei, Classic French, Swedish Folk, Norwegian Rosemaling, Hindeloopen of the Netherlands, American Folk, Mediterranean Style, Eastern Slavic, Decorative Painting of the East, English Roses and Castles. It's inspiring.
Odd thing, though: there's no author given on the title page. The copyright page gives info on the contributors to the book's production. The artist is Glynne McGregor. |
