Look elsewhere for conspicuous floral elements...,

This review is from: Decorative Floral Woodcuts of the Sixteenth Century (Dover Pictorial Archives) (Paperback)
The title is "Decorative Floral Woodcuts", well they do appear to be woodcuts
but I would have to say the "Floral" element is few and far between. These woodcuts are mostly plants heavy in leaf material with inconspicuous fruits & tiny nondescript flowers. They are beautiful for what they are, but if you are looking for hearty floral elements this probably wont do it for you. |
