So far so good., June 19, 2008
This review is from: Dect 6.0 Cell Fusion Adjunct Box Gateway (Wireless Phone Accessory)
So far this device seems to operate without issue. We currently have our land-line still attached but after some testing and no issues I will be dumping my land line and will be using my cellphone(s) as my home phone. I have my current home phones
Vtech 6053 DECT 6.0 Cordless Phones with Digital Answering System and 1 Base/2 Chargers/3 Cordless Handsets connected to this device.
My goal with this purchase was to convince the wife that we should dump our land-line and go with our cellphones only. Her big complaint was that she did not want to use the cellphone to make the calls because it is not as comfortable as the bigger home phones. This device fixes that problem and more. You can connect it to your existing phone system and make and receive calls throughout the home. Caller id information also gets pushed from your cell phone to your home phones so you can see who is calling.
This is a very ingenious device. Hopefully it will continue to work well.

DTMF or tones do not work., December 19, 2008
This review is from: Dect 6.0 Cell Fusion Adjunct Box Gateway (Wireless Phone Accessory)
After reading reviews here and other places, I chose to purchase this product to replace my office phone land line. It arrived, plugged it in and paired it with my IPhone on line one and a Audiovox SMT5600 Windows mobile on line 2. The pairing process was very easy. I was able to dial out and receive calls on both cell phones. On the Iphone, I had to turn up the BT volume all the way up. Up to this point everything looked great. I used an AAstra office phone and a Panasonic DECT6.0 wireless.
Now for the bad:
I need to be able to access voice mail, calling card, and Conference call system. This requires sending a series of DTMF tones with the numeric key pad. I tried every combination of all of the phones I have. No combination would send the keypad tone to the system I was calling. Feeling this should be something that would be a basic capability.
I called the tech support listed in the manual to make sure I was not doing something wrong or a setting that need to be configured. I was impressed, some one answered the phone right away and we could communicate in English very well. After that it went all downhill. I explained the issue I was having. He put me on hold for about 20 minutes and came back and told me that it was a problem with my voice mail system. I explained again there were several systems that I use and none of them worked with the Cell Fusion. I could hang up disconnect the Cell Fusion and dial with my cell phone and it works. To this his response was "unplug the power, the phone line and remove the battery" (there is no battery in this device) let it set for 15 minutes and then replace the battery, phone line and power. If the problem still exists it needs to be returned as damaged.
If you just make and receive calls - Great Solution.
If you need to send DTMF tones, I would look elsewhere.
If you have been able to make this device work with DTMF tones to voice mail and calling card systems, Please respond. I may have received one that was not working correctly

Good solution for its price, July 9, 2008
This review is from: Dect 6.0 Cell Fusion Adjunct Box Gateway (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I got this for $50 plus tax at Target on sale. It does the job as advertised. Hooked up to my cellphone via bluetooth and has been stable for two weeks. This allows me to set aside my phone but still can receive calls anywhere in my house, very convenient. One glitch I found is that the touch tone sent using my home phones does not seen to be delivered correctly over to the recipient end, thus company voice mail boxes and other automatic phone services won't work. However, I believe that's the limitation of the CDMA system used by the cellphone rather than the bluetooth gateway. This provides the most important feature I need (to be able to linkup to home phones) at a faction of the price of the other similar devices. Highly recommended.
