About the Author

David Connolly has lived and worked in Greece for over twenty years. He was formerly Head of Translation at the British Council in Athens and lecturer in literary translation at the Ionian University. He currently teaches in the translation program at the University of Athens. He has published numerous translations of leading Greek poets and novelists, and his translations have won awards in Greece, the US and the UK. He is considered today's most important translators of Modern Greek into English.

Does Dedalus have a science fiction collection? If not, this book proves that they should. Some of the best stories have a cyberpunk flavour.

If you are a fan of the Dedalus style of highbrow rocknroll lit, you are ging to love this. Lots of surreal, decadent, transgressive and thought provoking short stories.

WHile this book focuses on Greek literature, its not geospecific in scope - its worldclass modern fantasy lit. Impressive.

My ony crit is that by having one translator for so many voices, the language is homogenized - it alsmost reads like a collection of a single writer.
