ATB did it !,
This review is from: Dedicated (Audio CD)
A big fan of ATB, I always knew that one day we all will get to listen to a great music created by ATB. This album proves that he is a great music producer. I have read the reviews below, many people have written against it, and many have said that this album is not a good effort by ATB. Of course, if you will compare this album with his (ATB's) earlier albums, you will be disappointed. Not because it's a bad album but because it is different from the earlier work by ATB. If you forget about his earlier albums and listen to this one without expecting the typical ATB stuff, you will love it. Listening to this album will take you thru all emotions, especially when you are listening to "I wanna cry" and "Hero". Actually, I think it's a good decision and a great effort by ATB to create a music, which doesn't sound too repetitive. Remember... Tones from 9PM till I come? This album is refreshing, and you can listen to it while doing anything.

Step towards maturity,

I had to step in after reading those mediocre reviews! I agree that a majority of the album is filler, but the collaborations with the Wild Strawberries are fantastic. ATB has always veered towards the cheesy side, yet, with the unique vocals of Roberta Carter Harrison on "Hold You," "Let U Go," "Hero" and "I Wanna Cry," the songs are the most mature work ATB's produced, and best of all, the tracks would fill any dance floor. My favourite track with Roberta has to be the remake of Olive's "You're Not Alone." Even though I'm a huge fan of Olive (Get their album "Trickle" everyone!), I have to say this one out does the original -- especially after the 3 minute mark when it just sizzles! Highly recommended, if only for the five tracks mentioned above.

Finally ATB hits the mark!,
This review is from: Dedicated (Audio CD)
Believe or not I throughly enjoy Dedicated. I own both of ATB'solder albums (TWO Worlds and Moving Melodies) and I must say that the energy of Dedicated far surpasses both of those discs. Sure there is Let U Go from Two Worlds on here and many call that a "filler" but the song sounds completely different from the Two Worlds release. Halcyon is another great TUNE which just makes you want to jump on the dance floor. The album has its share of weak tune, I Can't Stand It comes to minds since it is so much more down tempo than the rest of the album. All in all a very above average release. If you enjoy techno/pop than this is the cd for you.

This cd is completly differant from two worlds or movin melodies. It is much more ambient sounding less of the jazz guitar and much more trace. This is'nt the fastest pace cd ever (although it does have a good mix of Let U Go on it).
I love cd it was a great refreshment from two worlds and movin melodies a new sound and a new style buy this cd you will not be disapointed.

Trance at its best!,

A lot of people don't like ATB because they think his stuff is too comercial. Forget about all that... good music is good music, and ATB delivers exactly that. Whether its energetic or chill out trance, Dedicated has it. ATB delivers his best record yet, you'd be crazy to overlook it. Check this out, ATB's music has the ability to lift me to another level, it should be no different for you.

A superb effort, but nothing like his first two albums,

Well, this is sort of a disappointment from "Movin' Melodies" and "Two Worlds", but it's still cool. ATB is a musical genius in the dance/house music genre. This album "Dedicated" seems a little more personal, especially since tracks 8 & 11 are dedicated to the tragic events of 9/11. Many of the songs are pleasant to listen to, and the arrangement of beats and melodies flow well. One thing I didn't understand is why he included Track 6 "Let you Go" again on this release!!! I mean it's a good tune, but let it go already (no pun intended)....This is a good album to add to your dance music library, but if you want the best of ATB, listen to the two albums mentioned above...I can honestly say that I enjoyed every track on those.

One of my favorite CDs,

This CD is one of my favorites since it has everything for every mood. I love the high energy beats of "Halcyon" and "Basic Love" to the mellow sounds of "Get High" and "I See It"; these songs make your imagination go wild as you listen. I also love the calming sounds of the ocean in "Remember", makes me want to run for miles when I listen to this tune in my MP3 player. I enjoy this CD and hope you do too.

Join the Club,

Dance music is an urban, nighttime genre, and ATB knows how to communicate that feeling in the best way. He combines a knack for memorable grooves with arrangements that set just the right mood. The minute I heard the title piece, it became my favorite dance/club track, and it still is. Check out a soundbite. If you like it, you'll like the whole thing. "Halcyon" and "I Wanna Cry" are also great.

Personally, I found ATB's "Dedicated" CD a superb combination of trance, dance and chill music. If you like variety on a CD, you will feel as I do, that the highs and lows play on each other and complement each other very nicely, in a way that you can listen to the album straight through. It is relaxing and exhilarating at the same time. Roberta Carter Harrison's voice is a definite plus, especially on "Hold You", Olive's "You're Not Alone", and "Let U Go", which are by far the best vocal tracks. The dance/ high energy tracks are good, not great, except for the adrenaline pumping, electrifying "Basic Love"! (I would've liked a couple more like it on the CD!) I also liked the title track and found it to be a catchy intro to the rest of the album. I have never owned an ATB disc and am only familiar with his dance tracks still getting airplay and club play. So I was pleasantly surprised to hear such a harmonious mix of cool tunes and hot trance. I admit though that I was a bit disappointed with Todd Terry's remix of "Hold U" (his EBTG's "Missing" was a much better remix.) This CD has it all, mature lyrics, hypnotic rhythms, even pop sounding tracks, i.e. "Hero" & "I See It". It is this variety that I find appealing, making the disc easy to listen to at any time.

It's really amazing to hear how good ATB is getting as the years pass. Till today... DEDICATED has to be one of his best productions. I liked the fact that the cd is so well balanced between Trance, Chill Out and some wonderful lyrics that are presented by the beautiful voice of the canadian singing angel Roberta Carter. I had the impression that ATB was seriously listening to some MOBY's or Mandalay work while producing the cd, cause, you can cleary hear it and sense it on several tracks, specially #7. Olive's version of You're not Alone was one of the best so far, until I heard ATB's!
