Let's not lament that the ladies haven't put out a CD of "original" songs and ENJOY THE MUSIC!!! While they've certainly graced us with some finely crafted original tunes in the past, let's embrace what they've given us today- -inspired interpretations of some of the great gems of the 1960s. Recall what captivated listeners to WP foremost & has since become their trademark- -their exquisite harmonies, and you will once again be enchanted. That said, many artists garnered success by putting their unique style on previously written and/or recorded material. You can't discredit utilizing creativity in this way when it produces some of the most highly listenable results as evidenced with WP "Dedicated". Moreover, the ladies have chosen to cover Mamas & Papas/Beach Boys songs- -songs which are not only classics in the truest sense, but are essentially their birthright. As usual, WP shimmering vocals are the showpiece giving new life to each song. With a vast catalog of songs from which to choose, they stuck with the crème de la crème of their famous parent's hits. Remarkably, they stay true to the essence of each song, while polishing it with their signature sound.
In the end, Wilson Phillips has made these songs their own. Thus, "Dedicated" truly is an original album.

I'm a long time Beach Boys & Mamas & Papas fan and Wilson Phillips has done a great job with this tribute album. They hold true with the warmth of the music while providing their unique harmony to these classic songs. There's not one song on this album I didn't like. Bravo WP!

Leave it to the offspring to do their parents' songs justice. Great renditions with their own stamp but so well done. Instrumentation is great and of course the vocals. The material is certainly quality and should remind even Wilson Phillips that this is what they should always look for when recording. They should never be embarrassed about using outside songs.

Disappointment
What's the point of this album anyway? This is absolutely unnecessary and just a reprise of an album they recorded before.

Great Stuff
