Did not really know these guys until Steve Cropper put out a CD called Dedicated-The Music of the 5 Royales, was all songs from 5 Royales from 1958 & earlier, the Cropper album was so good went out & got a couple 5 Royales CD's,Lowman "Pete" Pauling is the main person here & his guitar playing is nothing short of amazing not just for the 50's,for anytime, take a look at some of the song titles,songs that were sung by James brown,Arthea & others,recommend u get this 5 Royales CD & a must have is Steve Cropper's Dedicated, they both became 2 of my alltime favorite albums & I have well over 7,000 CD's
