It's easy to find this music enthralling. The way it affects your senses, your mood, is completely different from anything you'll experience any time soon. The Knife is completely original.

While some tracks, like "The Cop," are too strange for my liking, tracks like "Heartbeats" and "Rock Classics" and of course the youtube hit "Pass This On" will truly stick with you. You never want to press skip on those.

I hope this helps.

This is my new favorite cd.I can't seem to get it out of my stereo. At first the price had me skeptical but I took a chance. Having only heard the song "Heartbeats" it was a risk for me but I'm glad I took it. This cd puts me in the mood to dance but at the same time has a calming quality. Some of the songs sound as if you're stranded on a tropical island. So far my favorites are "Heartbeats", "Pass this on", and "You take my breath away". It also includes a dvd that is very entertaining.

i probably would've given up on music if i had'nt found this album. this is my new favorite c.d. ever. also, possibly my new favorite artist ever. i cant wait to hear their first album and silent shout is well worth the purchase but this c.d...i can't say enough, i could never do it justice. i recommend anyone who's a fan of art music, electro, synth-pop, er wtvr to get it. its so creative and genious that it makes me jealous. i'm so glad real artists are starting to do great things again. that was a lousy ten years of underground aftermath. here we go again though. everyone shoot up the eighties and nineties goth club.

The Knife has been a persistent favorite of mine. They have a very unique sound combining distinct electronic beats with cryptic vocals. Highlights of the album: "Pass This On," "One For You," "You Take My Breath Away," "Heartbeats," and the pleading "You Make Me Like Charity." This album is your introduction to the The Knife - it should be bought and thoroughly listened to before buying their new masterpiece, Silent Shout.

You know when I first heard this band I dismissed them as just another Bjork rip off and I'm not the biggest fan of hers some might say.
But over time this CD really really really grew on me and has become a staple in my life and it's songs get played daily.
Not everything on here is great but man the stuff that is really stands out and is just so different from anything else out there.
My favorite song is probably 11 You Make Me Like Charity
I'd recommend this for at least a 1 time listen.
Give the Knife a chance you may really like them!

Nothing beats Silent Shout (an album with no bad tracks in my opinion and one of my favorite albums ever), but there are some great cuts on this album (Heartbeats, 3 remixes of tracks, You Make Me Like Charity, The Bridge). Deep Cuts is a bit more poppy and not nearly as refined as Silent Shout. Definitely worth buying though if you're a fan of The Knife. Do anything you can to see them live.

I've decided to buy this record after having read the name of the singer of a wonderful song in last Rojksoop album (song: what else is there) and looking on the web i've found that this singer has her own group (the knife) so i bought the cd only on a wave of interest not knowing what I'm going in...

this cd is a wonderful surprise and now (in march) a new cd will be published... surely a must buy!!!
