Discover your most important values.,
By
This review is from: Deep, Deeper, Deeper Still (Paperback)
Do you ever wonder where you're going in life or what's important? Do you at times wonder if you are living the life you are meant to live? Are you the kind of person who thinks about these things but never reaches an answer?
This book invites you to ponder what's important by asking you to journal through thought-provoking quotes and questions. For example, this quote by Beverly Sills, "You may be disappointed if you fail, but you are doomed if you don't try" helps you discover your values with these questions: *What does it mean to fail? *How has fear of failure stopped you in the past? *What would you do if you weren't afraid of failing? Therapist in a book, discussion stimulator or gift for someone you care about, this book explores those needs and values important to all of us.

Get some good thoughts going and capture them!,
By Insights Lady (Palatine, IL United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Deep, Deeper, Deeper Still (Paperback)
The quotes selected in the book got me thinking in a different way. And this is coming from someone who loves to think and ponder and analyze people, behaviors and life.
Even if you don't want to write in the book, which I know the authors would love for us to do, you can take the quote, write it on a pad, and then journal away. The quotes stimulate me to think, but never towards judgment. They are infused with warmth and Spirit. I will return to them again and again.

Think of the Opportunities Deep, Deeper, Deeper Still Creates!,
This review is from: Deep, Deeper, Deeper Still (Paperback)
You can delve into the contents alone and write whatever comes to mind. There's adequate space for you to return to a quote and expand on your thoughts or jot down new ones that come to mine.
You can choose to share the process with a best friend, partner or sibling and compare how the same words engender the same ... or different ... responses. Perhaps you want to stimulate creativity by sharing the processs with your writing, authors or book group. Anyway you do it, you'll grow as you become better acqauinted with yourself!

Looking for a place to pause and reflect? You can find it within the pages of this guided journal. Though I warn you, Jerilyn and Wendy do plan - and succeed - at taking you below the surface of your comfort level. Using D3S as intended by the authors has opened up paths to thoughts, feelings, beliefs that I didn't know were there, beneath my surface. Thanks, Jerilyn and Wendy, for making the journey clearer.

As I read this book, I couldn't stop thinking of ways I could use this with participants in my seminars. The selection of quotes is thought provoking and unique. But it was also impossible to read it without doing some self-introspection along the way. When you immerse yourself in each page, you will discover certain thoughts speak out to you more than others. Neat idea. Thank you, Jerilyn and Wendy

Get to know yourself and others better.,
This review is from: Deep, Deeper, Deeper Still (Paperback)
Whether you read this alone or with a significant other or good friends, you will most definitely learn and often be surprised at the responses this thoughtful book provokes. The subject matter is comprehensive and the questions are guided by interesting quotes of notable persons. This is a book of discovery of one's self and other participants. It can be a serious endeavor, or sometimes humorous. "Deep, Deeper and Deeper Still" is not for everyone, but it certainly achieves its goals for introspective readers.
