Blues, Blues, Blues!!, November 21, 2003
This review is from: Deep Detroit (Audio CD)
If you are a fan of blues, this is a record you must have. It has all the elements, very classy, simple and cool. This is the music you can just chill out too, or play cards too, or whatever too. a GREAT blues album non-stop. There is not a bad song on this cd. A friend of mine burned a copy for me, after i heard it I had to buy the original. I cant really say it sounds like someone else, because it doesn't, it's pure shah, as close as
I can come is that blues scene from O'brother, where the blues master is sitting by the crossroads playing his guitar. Do not pass this up, its 15 bucks very well spent.

Raw, Powerful Chicago-Style Blues from Detroit, June 15, 2001
This review is from: Deep Detroit (Audio CD)
Tough Harp, singing and Guitar work throught this fine disc. Rough and tumble Blues of the type you might hear at a neighborhood joint on a Saturday night. Flat Down On My Back and Don't Kick Me To The Curb are personal favorites. Recommended.

The Shah !!, June 11, 2008
This review is from: Deep Detroit (Audio CD)
I don't remember who told me about Harmonica Shah, or when.....but I am glad they did. This is a strong CD, in the Chicago style. Great vocals, a lot of harmonica, and a good backing band. This is my favorite CD by Harmonica Shah, particularly the track 'Flat Down On My Back'.
