first off,i simply must admonish a comment written on scotts first review of this amazing cd.mr. moseley says "stop writing your own reviews,"dude"."i believe his name is richard....hey ricky,where do you come up with"dude?"are you still living in the 80's with your members only jacket nicely pressed,and wearing that fine hairstyle "the mullet"? scott might have some fans that love his music.....how logical....i am writing my third of four reviews on his work,am i his engineer,or roadie,no ....guitar tech....c'mon....
i do not know scott personally,but have exchanged e-mails and messages with him,and he is no shameless self promoter.....by the way...have you listened to our new release...neon picasso...."brightened by darkness"?
i am a huge fan of scotts,and his visions.....he creates some awesome art/musicscapes.
this is a huge move for him progressively,and blended metal,that incorporate unbelievable melodic music and introducing scott oliva as lead singer.
i am a fan of this cd because of its direction.if i believed scott wrote that review then i would not disagree with most of what the reviewer wrote about prog bands.i love dream theater,and porcupine tree,and most bands in that specific genre,because scott would probably beat me to a bloody pulp,mate.
i cannot find a bad word to say about "Deep Horizon".it is a brilliantly executed cd,with razor sharp riffs,and killer vocals.in fact scotts latest release is with a band named "Oceans Of Night",called "The Shadowheart Mirror",and is in much the same vein as is this unbelievable offering.
just trust in this reviewers words....GO OUT AND BUY IT.....YOU WILL LOVE IT!!!!!

As a fine artist does with watercolors, Scott Mosher layers his ideas over one another to create just the right kind of ear-catching progressive rock. It's evident that Mosher's music is more about artistry over simplicity and trends. Whether he's belting it out lyrically or indulging in an extended instrumental break, Scott delivers what prog rock fans are looking for.

So much of the modern prog scene is filled with pretentious, self-indulgent, and boring bands (Dream Theatre, Spock's Beard) or just plain [...] (King's X, Tool). And then there are true prog heroes like Scott Mosher. Scott has been making great prog records for over 10 years. His music (although definetly having it's own distinct sound) harkens back to the glory days of classic 70's an 80's prog gods like Uriah Heep, Rush and Fates Warning. Scott has found the perfect formula where prog is concerned: Prog rock that is melodic and experimental, but never forgets to rock. Almost all of the music is written and performed by Mr. Mosher himself, save for new vocalist Scott Oliva (replacing the Geddy Lee-like Todd Corsca). As a singer, Oliva is quickly becoming a favorite of mine; his soaring vocals remind me a lot of guys like Joe Comeau, Ray Alder, and Geoff Tate.
