5.0 out of 5 stars I'm officially hooked now! September 6, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
When I read the description I thought, yeah right. Eighteen million years? Sure. But I love sci-fi and deep space adventures so I gave it a try and I'm so glad I did! The writing was great! I could really visualize the story as I read along... although my brain kept showing me the cryo-pods from the Hunter-Gratzner in Pitch Black and made everyone sound like Vin Diesel. I like how Moon isn't afraid to go off the reservation with the plot, and I appreciate that he does it in a way that still manages to be believable. The story is intense with a total surprise ending. Except it's not really an ending, because this is the first chapter in a hopefully long series. Off to download Deep 2!

1.0 out of 5 stars This is to short to be considered a book August 14, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I must admit, I did not notice the small print "30 pages" notice before purchasing. I did enjoy the story however I don't think it's worth it for 30 pages, and then have to purchase another short story.

4.0 out of 5 stars My only complaint is that I finished it so soon. August 30, 2013
By Millsa
Format:Kindle Edition
A smart and very well written short story. I had no problem with the length of the book (for 99 cents you can't complain). I'm half way through the series so it's dealing with rogue planets and sabotage and aliens later on. I like it a lot.

Alot of how I judge a book is by how it 'grips' me. It has to capture and then hold my attention - there were literally times when I was holding my breath, LoL! This obviously came from a wonderfully-imaginative mind that likes to play outside of the box, even in Space. I'm a HUGE SciFi fan, including the original TOS Star Trek - LOVED it and I'm getting the rest of them.

Yeah, you can tell that it's written by an 'amateur author' as other reviewers have said. But honestly, I didn't find it to be hard to read - the storyline more than made up for it. Kudos for a non-Hollywood-pasteurized yet still-worthy-to-read story! Who needs Hollywood?

Btw, I'd love to see that scene of them figuring out that they are MILLIONS of years in the future - in a movie. That would be hysterical. Oh yeah, that's why we need Hollywood - to turn it into a movie. ;)

5.0 out of 5 stars Another Great Book By Adam Moon... August 27, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I already enjoyed Moon's Ace, so I figured this was a good bet. This is a great beginning to a space opera, so if you like that kind of thing, get ready for take off.

The premise is very interesting. It reminded me of the classic James Blish Novel: All the Stars A Stage.

It is a fairly short story as mentioned in the description, but the ending is one I did not predict. And that is another reason it reminds me of the James Blish novel.

I'm going to keep reading Adam Moon. I think this book would be great for a mature teen or adult science fiction lover.

5.0 out of 5 stars Such depth! August 26, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Adam Moon's Deep was a great read. It caught my attention quickly and sucked me more with each turn of the page.
I saw the length of the book and was worried that it wouldn't have enough depth for my taste in such a short number of pages, but that was not the case at all. The story is truly gripping and has a surprise ending. A must read for Sci-Fi fans.

1.0 out of 5 stars Horrible May 30, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Total waste of time. If not free would be a waste of money. Suggestion, don't bother. Deep 2 is just a repeat of the first with different names. I was so disappointed!

I thought this was a full book, but all it is, is an introduction to the real book. It was good, as far as I read. But, I hate when they do that.
