Have to say this is my favourite Dentists album although personally I feel it's probably a bit too long. We did debate leaving off a few tracks but we were having so much fun in the studio that we kept far too many on. I think the best song is "Electric Train of Thought" cos it has all the elements of a classic Murphy number and is pretty unusual in as much as Murphy wrote all the lyrics - pretty dark stuff too. There's lots of crazy appliances played as the song fades out too, and that always brings a smile to the old boat race. Listen out for the Japanese girl our manager was trying to impress.. she crops up on the start of Weirdo. Favourite moment ? On the "secret" track when Mick says "I'm really not in the mood to do this" and Bob's reading of the football results.... |
