I am a cook book fiend, but they are not all great reads. Deep South Parties though is hilarious to read. You get a bit of history, a bit of ettiquite, some cooking tips, and a some really great and easy recipes.

I bought the first book Deep South Staples and it was entertaining and had some great recipe's. It was a gift for my son-in-law and he loved it! My daughter bought that one for me because we loved it so much. So, I was expecting as much out of this book and was kinda disappointed. I don't see anything that I would want to make from these recipe's. It didn't seem to...

I bought the first book Deep South Staples and it was entertaining and had some great recipe's. It was a gift for my son-in-law and he loved it! If I had not already purchased this book, I would have rejected it. I would say there are better recipes around. This is "standard fare" at the most generous point.
