First, a little background info about this album/band- Colorfinger was Art Alexakis' band before Everclear. They basically made this album, played some shows, and split. Of course, they were next to unheard of until Everclear acchieved popularity. By the way, this CD may get a re-release soon, due to Alexakis' requests.

On to the album.... This is absolutely amazing. Granted, it sounds ALOT like Sparkle and Fade era Everclear, but that's a very good thing in my mind. To be honest, I've not heard all of this album, but I have parts of it, and what i do know of it is amazing. The biggest highlights are 13 Years and Anita Sonic Love. Both songs, of course, have that distinct Everclear flavor to them. This is something that any self-respecting Everclear fan, and just about any alt-rock fan should desire. Truly a masterpiece from Art Alexakis. Hopefully, Art will get his wish and this will be re-released, as it's truly a great album that gives some history of Everclear from waaaay back in the day (1990).

5.0 out of 5 stars Must own CD for any everclear fan, June 21, 2006

If you're a fan of everclear, you must get your hands on this CD.

The sound of the album is very similar to Sparkle and Fade, albeit with a little more cow-punk thrown in for good measure. The songs Separation, Elanor Young, and Anita Sonic Love are quite possibly the best songs from Art Alexakis (frontman for everclear).

Even if you're not a fan of everclear, this is still a really great album. The lyrics are much more than the typical superficial stuff that's pumped out today for the masses. The guitar riffs are really memorable and catchy. This is what a really good album should be.
