3.0 out of 5 stars Good Intro to NMT
Deep Tissue by Sean Riehl means Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT) as Leon Chaitow, which is different from Art Riggs' Deep Tissue Massage, which is direct myofascial release. Good introduction to NMT, Sean narrated the theory and showing the techniques in a clear and systematic way, almost textbook. The computer graphics is excellent. As with other videos from Real Bodywork...

5.0 out of 5 stars Deep Tissue The Extremities, February 24, 2004

This review is from: Deep Tissue & Neuromuscular Therapy, The Torso [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I recently finished a course in NMT and was excited to begin using the work in my practice. I not only learned more from the tapes than my class, but found them invaluable to review before a session with a client. Learning to evaluate first/work/and re-evaluate has taken my practice to a higher more professional level, and has helped my clients with greater efficency than my old hit or miss approach. For me to see the muscles/trigger points visually done has helped me to remember them better. I also love that I can rewind and rewind until I get it. This video and the companion Torso, are packed with technigues and information that will serve me and my clients for years to come. Thank you

This is more geared to the student of massage. If you have the patience for the technical details of neuromuscular technique, then this video is for you, if you want your husband to learn how to give you a good back massage, keep looking ;-).

Detailed, thorough, and easy to follow. This resource is great for understanding deep tissue massage, trigger point, and how to isolate the muscle(s) you need to work on for maximum results.
