A reader-friendly reminder to the begining therapist,

This review is from: Deepening the Treatment (Hardcover)
Ms. Hall has done us all a service by condensing much of what a relatively new therapist should keep in mind. Though I have been doing psychotherapy for twenty years, I also found much to enjoy in it. I was particularly taken by her use of the concept "benevolent curiosity". She also underscores issues of professional boundaries, and reiterates the hardest thing for new therapists to remember--Patience.

I really appreciate Hall's perspective. She does a wonderful job of explaining her reasoning behind procedures. There are lots of examples. It is an easy read. It is enjoyable and informative.
