Well,to start off,its a fun game,definitely.This is the first Deer avenger game i've gotten and i like it(well,i also have the handheld version of number 2,shaped like a little shotgun)I plan to pick up the others soon also.If you are lookin to take a break from the more serious games like Max Payne or any other of those (fun)games,this is the game for u.sure there are some tiny flaws,but they are unnoticeable.U can also watch movies,which is a nice feature.But,My favorite part of the game is Bambo's arsenal.You start out with nothing but your wits,instinct, and the Berreta .45.As u build your arsenal and take out more rednecks,u will eventually come across a crossbow and an uzi.u also have a bunch of handy farts like the booster fart which lets u get places faster.Sick of walkin around lookin for those Rednecks?Then use a tracking device of course!Whats that in the distance?A redneck?then put on the scope!(it fits on every gun,even the uzi,Goody Goody)Theres a bunch of cool new rednecks such as Agent x,el nacho,Roxy Etc. Of course,patience is a virtue which u will need a lot of,because this game can get frustrating,but not impossible.You can Hurry things along by using some of Bambo's hilarious new calls (Anyone know Donald Trump,he left his wallet here)or his redneck attracting broccoli farts.u can also hide in bushes,throw lures,and listen to Bambo's comic relief all through the game (but after a while it gets a little old)And another good part is the game lets u go where u want hunt where u want it doesnt really make u go to the next level if u need more practice,or to earn more skill points.The only reason i took off one star is because,it takes a while to find a hunter,and if u get one,and continue hunting and die,u loose the other hunter u bagged.And, occasionally two hunters come after u at the same time making it a little unfair(especcialy if u are only armed w/ a Berreta.45)All in all,i recommend this game to anyone if u need to take a break from more serious and mature games.I think the teen rating is right on the money considering the language is unsuitable for the little tikes but not so violent as to be a mature rating.Well,happy hunting.

This is definitely a fun game. It would have earned a full 5 stars but the dialog does get tedious at times. It's goofy and lighthearted fun. There is a red SUV you can enter and drive around after all the hunters are killed. I found it in West Virginia at different locations. In the beginning, watch for the hippy dude, don't shoot him, he is your friend. He also points and gives you verbal hints in addition to the "gas" supplies. Not a game for little kids.

Deer Avenger 4 includes 4 new levels and hilarious sayings such as "I'm getting all tingly either there's a hunter nearby or the viagra is starting to kick in." There are awesome guns such as all sorts of shotguns, an MP5, an M4, an Uzi and a bunch of pistols. There are also new hunters such as Agent X. This was really a great game and I give it 5 stars.

I first played this game at a friends house back in 2002. I had figured by the time I bought it (in 2008) DA 6 or 8 or something like that would be out by now, but it stopped with DA 4 unfortunately.

The game is fun and a great change, as other reviewers have said, from the norm. I don't play a lot of video games. I probably would if more were like this. Fun, not too serious, and relatively easy to play. The commentary by the deer, Bambo, is great although it would be nicer to have some more because I think I've heard evertyhing in the two years I've been playing it about 20 times. A newer version would, in my opinion, have an endless supply of one-liners and smart alecky comments.

I give it five stars because it IS fun to play, it IS funny, and it IS unlike anything else I've played. I don't know that I'd pay $75 for a copy of the game but since it is the last one made and if you are a true collector of games you'll enjoy playing over and over, go for it.

I've been following this series since I was 13 years old. I picked up this one (which unfortunately appears to be the last) 4 years ago, and today at 19, I still think it is one of the most addictive and fun games I've ever played.

Yes, the jokes do get old eventually, and some of them aren't funny at all (the series seems to base much of its humor on farting), but the game play is what draws me in. Choose from a wide variety of weapons, ranging from crossbows, handguns, shotguns, rifles, and automatics, to hunting tools and trackers, and hunt down rednecks, yuppies, and gun nuts. Sounds great to me!

You also use powerups which allow you to fart in various ways, each doing somthing different. One directs hunters towards your direction, one points out the general area where the hunter is running around, one acts as a very powerful weapon with a large blast radius, and one works as a speed boost, rocketing your body around the map. While immature, these add a lot of strategy to gameplay and using them is sometimes critical when the hunters become more skilled and determined to kill you.

What I like to do, once I've earned all of the weapons and tools and levels is choose a level at random, and once I've entered the game, I hit "left shift", "left alt" and "f8" to automatically make a hunter appear (your weapon must be holstered for this to work). Do this three more times and you have 4 hunters running around at once, all bent on making you a dead deer. Try to hunt them all down before they get you. It's quite a challenge and provides replay value once you've unlocked everything and destroyed all of the hunters.

Ignore the tedious jokes and have some fun. Runs quite nicely on any modern system.

If only there was a multiplayer function, the game would be downright perfect (running around as bambo or one of the hunters in one of the 4 worlds using the various weapons, tools, and farts against friends or enemies around the world). I can still dream, though.

There is an suv in west virginia near the river across a bridge, but, it only shows up after you kill all of the rednecks. If you catch it in a tree or on a rock it will dissapear.
(AgentX dies easy when you shoot him in the legs)

I was a fan of DA 2 and DA 3, and owned DA 1. I found it to be a fun way to kill an afternoon. The SUV shows up in the last level after you have killed all 12 baddies at least once.

I was hoping for DA 5, but it does not appear to be a go. This was the best in the series. I am not normally a fan of the hunting games, but this one caught my interest. Hunting the hunters is great.

I haven't been able to get it to work on Windows 7, but it does work on Vista and XP. I did have some problems with a few Vista machines, but it worked on most of the ones I tried. For those with the Professsional 7 or higher versions of Windows, try it using the Virtual Windows XP option; the minimal graphics requirements may work in that mode.

its ok they say that theres an suv in the last level but i cant find it and you get some great new guns & 4 levels

The Deer Avenger series has come a long way. I bought the original Deer Avenger. You just spun around in circles and shot your poo with a slingshot. But I loved it. Now comes D.A. 4, with 3D environments, various weapons, and some great options. Huge environments really make this fun, as you have to search out not only hunters, but powerups too. Waiting for the hunters can get tedious, and shooting can be a hassle too. But overall, Deer Avenger 4 is just too good to pass up. I hate hunters with a passion, so this is my sweet revenge. Buy this game, you won't regret it.
