5.0 out of 5 stars Does the job!
Our dog was getting out of our backyard by going under a chain link fence. I think these stakes will prevent this from reoccurring. The stakes are made of heavy gauge galvanized steel. They are easy to install and have kinks which help keep them secure in the ground. I doubt my dog will pull another disappearing act now.

3.0 out of 5 stars Tried using to secure chainlink fence
I bought these in hope to re-secure the bottom of my chain link fence. The problem ended up being that I would hammer these in about 8-10", and then start to hit rocks or harder soil, and the tops would start to bend over. If you have rocky soil, or hard soil you may want to get re-bar instead. Also my fence in places is 2-3" off the ground and because of the open...

I was a little uneasy about the stakes when I first drove them in the ground; but after the first rain those things are in there good. The heavy gage and kinks at the bottom really make them a good stake. And you can not beat the price.

Fast delivery. I'm using these to anchor chain link fence and they are strong enough and long enough. Price is great.

Excellent product. We have a chain link fence that was starting to come loose along the bottom. We did not want our dogs getting underneath and running free. These work great!

Super sturdy and way cheaper than having a fence repaired. Keeps the dog in the yard for sure! Also easy to use.

We actually purchased these to help secure the bottom of our neighbors chain link fence so their dog would stop getting out. These hold in a sandy clay soil well enough that a large Labrador cannot push out under the fence. Quite impressed with the product. Nicely priced, great quality.

I needed something to keep my back fence from bowing under the weight of my neighbors mulch ... this did the trick perfectly.

I really like these stakes. I'm using them to hold down the edge of deer fencing product I set up for my dog yard (it works great because my dogs don't dig or chew the fence). but my yard is very rocky. And when these stakes hit a rock they bend over and you have to throw them away. This happened so many times that I had to order an additional pack. But they are easier than steel stakes and do a great job. I just wish they had a little bit of a shorter size for rocky soil.

5.0 out of 5 stars Heavy duty stakes., December 1, 2010

I pounded these stakes into the ground to pin my chain link fence to the earth. I did this to keep my German Shorthair from escaping underneath the fence. The stakes are very heavy duty and a good length for this job. My fence is black, the stakes are silver, but they are not really noticeable at earth level.

If you have rocky soil, or hard soil you may want to get re-bar instead. Also my fence in places is 2-3" off the ground and because of the open ended hooks, these proved not to work in those areas either.
