I've tried five or six different deer-hunting video games, but this one is the best.
The fact that you can choose your weather conditions, the time of year you hunt, the different locations,
all factors that make it great. And the way the animals react is great. Very lifelike.

I have hunted deer for real for over 40 years, and this game is just about as close as you can get to the real thing without getting out in the cold and wet.

We have a number of hunting video games in our house and this is by far the game of choice. This is our third time buying the game as we have had the game leave with kids to college. In my mind it is the most realistic hunting game out there.

This is by far the most realistic, in terms of shot placement, deer behavior, and the many different weapon choices. I also love the multiplayer option, it's fun to hunt with other people and see how the deer react to them.. My only gripe is the that there aren't any dangerous animals, nothing that you need to watch out for.

It is 2007 and I am playing Deer Hunter 2005. I have played the original Deer Hunter and a few of the versions after. I picked this one up at a retail store on a whim since I had not played any version after probably version 4 or 5. I must say, I was truly not expecting this game to be as polished and fun as I found it to be. I have all of the graphic detail maxed out and it looks fantastic. The deer and the environments look great and the movements of each of the animals very realistically imitate how you would expect them to move like. It is definitely a challenge to hunt deer in this game, but the payoff is very rewarding. I also love the addition of the Wildlife mode where you can view any of the animals in their environment and just watch how they behave. This game is definitely worth the budget price tag and even 2 years later is a real joy to pick up if you like this type of game.

It's Ok the graphics are not so good, but is fun enough for the price.
