When I received the shoes, they looked decent enough. It won't turn any heads; it's not handsome enough to stand out as an expensive-looking pair of shoes, but it won't stand out as a pair of cheap discount store shoes either. Unfortunately, the quality is that of a pair of cheap discount store shoes.

The shoes arrived with a nick on the tongue of one of the shoes - a 2mm torn flap of leather. Whether it's damage in the warehouse, during shipping or off the assembly line, I don't know. But it may speak toward the shoe's durability. I should point out that a delivery guy ran his bike over my foot the first day I had the shoes on and the shoe came out just fine. Next, I noticed the insoles were completely separated from the bottom of the shoe. They don't look like they are meant to be removable, since there is a big, uneven splotch of dried, no-longer-adhesive glue that was supposed to keep the insole in place.

The sizing is a bit larger than the Bostonian shoes I am used to, but it's close enough such that a thicker pair of socks makes up for it. The insole feels fine at first, but after walking for 15 minutes and it flattens out, you realize the cushioning is temporary. At least the dried glue means you can replace the insoles easily. Heh. After about an hour or so in the shoes, the top of my heel started to blister.

At full price, it's not worth it. But I got it at one-third of the regular price. This makes it worth the effort to get new insoles to give it another shot.

These are really high quality shoes that look nice in a business casual environment but feel like they would stand up to working in a warehouse. I had almost purchased the shoes from another source when I found them here on Amazon for a better price. They are true to size. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because the insoles seem to come out too easily.
