My recommendation is to go ahead and buy these if you need a nice, everyday, comfortable dress shoe. The price I paid was more than "a good deal." I was hesitant because I thought - this is to good to be true. I went ahead anyway, and selected the no-charge-to-ship method of receiving them. The shoes delivered within 5 working days and I am completely happy with my purchase.

I have difficulty finding attractive comfortable wide width shoes at a reasonable price....simply impossible to do in my rural area. These are absolutely the ticket in a feather weight for all day smart casual wear. Shipping (even with super saver)was rapid. Arrived in perfect condition. I should probably purchase another pair for future use when these eventually wear out. Now if I could only find them in brown...

I never expected to pay so little and get so much

Great shoes, my husband wore these all day to a wedding and said they were very comfortable. He is very fussy about his shoes and would were these again.

Bought this for my son who just started in the business world. The shoe fits well and very comfortable. It makes him look like a business man. Great price and very stylish. A+

I recently got this shoe after having another Deer Stag "Nice" for over 8 years and while it's still quite comfy, they seem to have changed the coating and heel as it seems a bit cheaper.

I never had issues with the heel staying attached to the shoe with my old pair that lasted over 8 years, but within a month of owning this new one, the front of the shoe had detached from the heel on one of the shoes! There also seems to be some sort of flaky coating that they may use to keep the heel and shoe together, which I don't recall my old shoe having.

Now please don't get me wrong, this is one of the comfiest shoes I've ever worn, but it does seem to have issues with the rubber heel. The only reason I got rid of my old pair was because the heal ended up cracking where my foot would bend. But that shoe lasted me so long I really don't fault it.

The shoe fits great and the back of the shoe doesn't dig into the back of your ankle like a lot of other leather shoes seem to do. The leather is very soft and it's very easy to maintenance.

Overall I like the shoe and I will continue to wear it.

These are great shoes that are far more comfortable than wing tips. I go through a pair of them about every 8 months wearing them nearly every day. I love that you can slip it on and don;t have to bother with laces. The shoe won't hold up to extreme conditions, but it is great for office wear or dancing.

I wear these shoes everyday at work and occasionally on the weekends. They are very comfortable, great for the "airport security shuffle off and on dance", and look good enough to wear to a conservative corporate office. These cost far less than comparable loafers of other brands.

These shoes come in 1/2 sizes, extra wide widths, and the sizing is completely accurate. They are cut a little lower under the ankle bone so they do not rub your ankle bone raw as some other do.

I do find myself replacing them about every 9 months of very hard wear. Considering the mileage I put on them, they last longer than other shoes and are the best value in loafers.

Don't hesitate to get these.

UPDATE: 5/17/2011 - I needed to replace my shoes again. Having had about 4 pairs of these over a 5 year span, I didn't want anything else. The problem was there was none to be found in my size. I checked other Deer Stag retailers...nothing. I sent the manufacturer an email to ask when this size might be available. The answer I got was "Unfortunately, it is very hard to predict when particular styles/sizes will be replenished.". Really? You make these and you have no idea what size or shoe will come out of your factory?

Judge that response for yourself.

I haven't had a pair of dress shoes in years. I've been wearing work boots and cowboy boots. My wife has been trying for years to get me to buy regular shoes. These were the ones we finally decided on and they're very comfortable. They fit really well and the only thing I found that I needed to do was to put gel pads in the heels. Gave it just the right amount of additional padding. I'm very pleased with the shoes and now I'm gellin'.

The Deer Stag shoes which I purchased are not only stylish and clean looking but are comfortable and fit well. This was an excellent value and supports my philosopy that Amazon is the right place to shop.
