5.0 out of 5 stars level headed reading, September 10, 2006
This review is from: Defending the Faith: A Beginner's Guide to Cults and New Religions (Paperback)
In this book, the author aims to show what several of the core biblical/historic christian beliefs are as formulated from the bible. He does a very nice even handed examination of showing what these beliefs are, where and how they are biblical, and then contrasting them to other beliefs that claim to be biblical, but are perhaps skewed after all. If you have some deep, kept to yourself, bubbling up doubts that you may be involved in a religious group that is possibly not lining up with foundational biblical teaching, please consider examing this book. It is sane, sober and really aims to stick with scripture in a balanced way.
