4.0 out of 5 stars A Fascinating Historical Account and Thoughtful Analysis, February 11, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Defending Principles: The Political Legacy of Bill Brust (Paperback)
Brust's work provides a fascinating first-hand account of some of the major events in 20th century labor and political history, especially in Minnesota, as well as an insightful and usually engaging presentation of events and currents in world labor issues and politics.
Brust's Trotskyist perspective, while sometimes dogmatic and overly party-centric, is very helpful for understanding the real dynamics of these events. Brust provides insights not available in other works.
His first essay, "Why and How I became a Revolutionary" is a time portal to a formative period in American history.
