It is apologetics that needs no apology. (R.C. Sproul 2004-06-03)

ìThis may be the most important apologetics book for lay readers since Josh McDowellís - Evidence That Demands a Verdict. (Elliot Miller Christian Research Journal 2004-06-03)

From the Back Cover

Whether you want to grow in your own understanding of truth or need trustworthy responses to the questions of friends, Dan Story has the answers.

Defending Your Faith is designed to help Christians see that Christianity is a reasonable and intelligent faith grounded on objective, verifiable evidence. It will also enable readers to share these answers with family, friends, and coworkers who have questions about Christianity.

  • How do I know that God exists?
  • Can I trust the Bible?
  • Why is there evil and suffering in the world?
  • Is God an environmentalist?
  • Are the Bible and science in conflict?

Dan Story will challenge you to share your faith with others while knowing that you are not alone as you witness for Christ.

This is about my favorite book on Biblical Apologetics, or how to defend the claims of historic Christianity. Very easy to read, and very well researched and footnoted. I highly recommend it.

Dan Story handles the topic of presuppositions versus evidence, in a unique way. Christianity is based on facts that are tangible. Story says, "look at the evidence and make a decision." The questions of evil, reincarnation, the fate of those who never heard of Christ and the trinity are handled very well. Laymen and theologians will both love this book. Buy it now!!

Dan Story has done a remarkable job of laying out the case for defending the Faith and explaining how Christians can use evidence to instill confidence in other Christians and answer tough questions from non-Christians. Dan is a very good writer and makes hard things understandable and useful. I especially love the price of the book. It works beautifully for people on a budget.

Some people recommend Lee Strobel's writings ('A case for...' series) for beginners and people new to Christian apologetics. However, though Strobel is good, I recommend Dan Story. While Lee lines up experts to lay out his case, Dan has gone through all the information and lays it out in a very easy and concise presentation.
