This review is from: Defending Your Retreat: A Manual For Combat After the Collapse
I was disappointed with this. First, I paid $50 plus shipping and when I get it--it has $9.95 sticker on the back. But it is a very dated piece from the late 70's. The first of the book had some typed-written comments from the author and the rest of the book was material copied from various military manuals. Having served 5 years in the Army and having experience defending perimeters in Vietnam, I felt some of it was a waste. It had illustrations and instructions on setting up mortar and rocket positions. How many retreats will have rockets and mortars. It wasn't a complete waste as it discussed setting up fields of fire and clearing foliage that could conceal your enemy but overall, a wasted effort. "Holding Your Ground" by Joe Nobody is far more practical.
