An extremely worthwhile toy for a small pricetag,

Many transformers toy lines have been released, and by far the most advanced to date is CYBERTRON. In this review I shall cover one of the later releases of the line, CYBERTRON DEFENCE HOT SHOT.
Vehicle Mode: CD Hot Shot's vehicle mode is supposed to be an upgraded version of the original Hot Shot but this is anything but. CDHS's vehicle mode is an armoured car like you might see in the military. This form, of course, includes some TRANSFORMERS elements-all four wheels turn freely, there is a slot for a Cyber Key (as standard for all T:C figures) to fit into (more on that later). One of the parts of Transformers that are now being slowly 'phased out' are Mini-Cons. However CDHS's vehicle form has two-one on each 'door' of the vehicle (the doors do not open). Nothing happens on the figure if a Mini-Con is inserted onto the pegs. Transformers may be a line designed primarily for youngsters, but, as I am sure we are aware, there are some people (myself included) who see them as works of art and, if CDHS is anything to go by, they are. CDHS is exceptionally detailed. There are small indents at the front, and other finely-culpted details running from front to back-from pistons to headlights to big armour 'X's. Proudly sitting atop CDHS's vehicle form are a pair of big red cannons. These cannons are exceptionally detailed and can rotate and pivot up and down. Pushing the Cyber Key into its slot causes the cannons to split in half, revealing eight (sculpted) missiles inside. One of the most revealing parts of a Transformer is most often the underside. It is the side that is least likely to be seen so things like fists, knees and heads can all be pushed to here to hide them from being shown up top where all the pretty detailing and weapons are. However CDHS does not do this, as most of the underbelly is sheilded by a dirty great piece of armour plating that will form CDHS's chest later. This armour plating is, as you'd expect, very detailed indeed. Transformation to Robot Mode: 1. Pull the rear of the vehicle sharply back. This will cause the back to click down and back, making the vehicle considerably longer. 2. Split the rear in half. 3. There are two black armour pieces near the back. Swing these down and the robot legs are formed. 4. Split the remainder of the vehicle form in half and swing the sides down. 5. Pull the doors down to form the lower arms. 6.Flip the robot head down. 7. Swing the cannons over the shoulders. 8. Pose appropriately. Robot Mode: CDHS is your basic Shellformer transformer, with all the different bits of the vehicle moving out to reveal the robot inside, but at the same time he looks crisp, like he has had a much more complicated transformation. Not much of the robot mode is worth reviewing because all the bits are the same as the vehicle mode. What I should mention is the head (very detailed just like the show) and also the 'Attack Mode'. All over CDHS's body is covered with black hatches. Swing these open to reveal missile racks inside! Coupled with the Cyber Key gimmick (which still works) you've got a mean machine going! CDHS also comes with a dagger which you can clip onto his arms. The neat thing is you can clip it to the inside of his leg. Why is this neat? Because when he transforms the dagger winds up neatly stored inside the vehicle modev in a convenient little holding bay! All in all, Cybertron Defence Hot Shot is a toy worth your money. Thumbs up!

Hot- Shot is awesome. I learned about him from a friend who had it, and whenever I go over to his house to play, he is the transformer I always play as, so I got myself one. Other than it missing a cyber- key, it's all cool, because I never use the cyber- key. I would recommend this to any Transformers- Cybertron fan. He is pretty straight- forward to transform and has several hidden missile compartments, as well as an awesome vehicle mode. He is pretty durable, unless you plan on doing something stupid to him like throwing him at a wall. All in all, it's a good product, and I hope this helps.

Defense Hot Shot - Transformers Cybertron Deluxe
The following sums up my opinion on this product... Firstly I must say that I was very pleased to have bought this item from Amazon.com-ToyRocket; shipping was fast, no hassles and arrival took less than 1 week (international shipment via USPS-normal shipping) to reach me half-way across the globe. Shipment was received with packaging in C10 condition - excellent! The Defense HotShot is remarkable! It is a Rare Transformer. In my opinion, Hasbro should have made this item in Voyager-class form. The Deluxe-class form as it was made is very detailed, well blended with its pleasing Blue-red (I love the blue colour paint job - sparkles) colour combination and its plastic parts are top notch quality. Joints and moving parts are well constructed and tightly fitted. Compared with other Deluxe-class Transformers Cybertron Series, I would say this is the nicest of the lot. It is my favourite anyway. Transformation from Armoured Vehicle to Robot Mode is straight-forward. Once transformed to its Robot mode, the Defense HotShot reveals its great "firing" powers. It has rocket-pods everywhere - - in its legs, the black 'knob' on its legs rotates to reveal two sets of rocket-pods one on each leg (just next to the tires on legs). More rocket-pods would be revealed on the left and right shoulders by pulling down the covers as well at the top of its shoulders by fliping upwards the red tabs on top. When the cyber planet key is inserted, its main guns flips open and more rocket pods would be revealed. The nicest part is that all these rocket-pods are coloured and detailed! The sword that he carries can also be stored away on the inner side of its legs. Apart from the lack of poses positions and the slight adjustments needed to keep it stable on its feets, I have nothing to flaw the Defense HotShot - :) This is one collectible item that I would keep for a very very long time. If one would be considering buying this guy, one might as well buy the other two Cybertronerton Defense Force to complete the Cybertron Defense Team. Heads Up ! Best regards
