Product Description

The Impact Kerambit is an extremely low-profile device that looks to the un-initiated to be simply an odd-looking L-shaped piece of plastic. However, to the user, once you slip your index finger through the ring and grasp it, you have a devastating self-defense device in your hand. It can be taken anywhere since its real purpose is completely unknown, which makes it ideal for air travel or areas in which guns or knives are banned. The Kerambit's ring and the tip of the L-shaped section are designed to put your wrist at its strongest natural angle. You may strike full force against any part of your attacker's body, even bone, without fear of hurting your knuckles or wrist. The bottom edge provides for full-force backhanded blows and is also a great blocking tool that will in the process of blocking can also disable the offending limb. Due to its unique design, you need never let go of the Kerambit, even when grasping, pulling, or controlling your attacker. On today's streets, you can't afford to be without one of these. Constructed of lightweight indestructible plastic. Sized to fit in a pocket, or can be carried in a special holster.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is an impact weapon, September 5, 2010
This review is from: Self Defense Impact Kerambit Personal Protection Tool (Misc.)
The Travel Wrench is designed as an impact weapon, modeled after the kerambit. Designed to be an improvised weapon with the premise that it can be carried as you travel...airport security will no longer allow knives, fingernail files, etc. on board. As a matter of fact try to bring a drinking straw or plastic silverware thru and I'll bet TSA confiscates the items before letting you pass....silly, as you can get a new straw or silverware once you have entered the airport foodcourt.

Anyway, I have successfully traveled carrying my wrench on numerous occassions without incident.
Designed by Close Quarter Combat instructor Kelly S. Warden who is also considered to be a Senior blademaster of modern Arnis.

5.0 out of 5 stars Little Fang, Big bite!!!, January 12, 2011

This review is from: Self Defense Impact Kerambit Personal Protection Tool (Misc.)
This thing is amazing!!!! Been shown some of the "normal" kerambit techniques and while the slash movements wont have the same affect the strikes with this thing are in a word, DEVASTATING!!!! Even a simple downward block using the bottom of the fist rather than the palm or the forearm have real impact and lots of pain. Excellent product for the price and fantastic service and delivery. All in all 10 stars out of 5!

5.0 out of 5 stars Good for consealment and effect, January 25, 2012
This review is from: Self Defense Impact Kerambit Personal Protection Tool (Misc.)
I carried this tool for years on my plain cloths LE job. I had my work keys attached to the top ring and comfortably slipped the tool into my waist band with the keys out over my belt. It was hidden, but handy. It always went into court with me when I had to put other weapons in the lock box. I never had to use it for defense, but the effect of it being in my hand, with my keys hanging from it, always got a confused look from crooks I contacted day to day. They did not know what I had in my hand, but they seemed worried about it. The tool is of quality construction and affords a variety of striking techniques. I bought it for the L shape, figuring it affords a good throat/chin hook if you strike an upper cut. Between the top ring and L hook, you are sure to hit something and not break a knuckle. Good tool for a cop or medic. It gives you the advantage in a fight, but not lethal to you if you if an adversary grabbed it. It is also a great tactical aid if you have to turn a bandana into a torniquet. Good twisting device right there on your keys. I liked the tools style, comfort and utility over the kubaton I had carried for years before.
