I have several different cameras as part of my Home Surveillance System. I am 100% satisfied with this Camera and would recommend it to anyone. It is perfect for Indoor or Outdoor use. Night Vison is excellent. On rainy days, my other cameras would accumulate a little fog or condensation under and inside the lenses of the Security Camera., and I paid a lot more for it than I paid for the Defense.

No problem now. I think it is because the Cameras have a layer of Nitrogen Gas as a insulator in between the lenses of the DXL. I was surprised at the features on this camera and to find that this camera has very wide angle lens for better viewing, was another added bonus. 520 LTV of resolution gives a better quality image. 20% better than a camera with 420 LTV .

Eventually I will upgrade all of my system with this kind of quality. It was everything I had hoped for, and then some, except for one item. One installation screw was missing from the hardware kit. No biggie. I spent Months researching for upgrades on my Camera System. I made the right choice. The extended Night Vision on the XL is a good option to have if it is ever needed. At night when my own security lights aren't on, I can easily see vehicles parked near the house and beyond. Not like before. Once the security lights are triggered, the camera picks up most things, even those far away, with ease. Best protection for the money.

The installation was EASY. My only problem? I've not figured out how to make it send motion sensing alerts to my cell phone via my software, but that's a different issue. I'm sure customer support can help me with that. This is some of the best money I've ever spent. Worth every penny and more as far as my peace of mind goes. My computer software Defense DVR 4 Channel Card, runs my entire system and is very user friendly and works well even on Windows Vista. All is well.
