Like all of Jim Wagner's books, the information in this volume is solid and accurate. I did not like it as much as his book "Reality-Based Personal Protection. However, this is a book that will be of interest to police officers and military units. He covers the basic strikes, room-entry factors, weapon retention techniques, knife defense and many other topics in this book. I found it very good and recommend it to anyone interested in the martial arts and combatives.

jim wagner is known for "reality based defense" and if you see his self defense articles in magazines you have to wonder how he can claim that its realistic to assume you'll be attacked while wearing a flak jacket and body armor while holding a machine gun. anyway, this book assumes that you are someone who is in the military or whatever (although what soldiers buy books to learn how to survive, im not sure)... anyway, the book presents prearranged responses to helmet grabs, ways to protect babies from grenade attacks, etc... you have got to be kidding me.
