I was expecting a complete catholic Bible, and this version does not include the The Prayer of Azariah and Song of the Three Holy Children, in Daniel 3.The New American Bible in the USCCB webpage has the complete version. I purchased this book because I wanted to read a catholic Bible in my kindle.

Outstanding Catholic Bible,

This is an outstanding Catholic Bible for the Kindle. The language in this version is aboslutely beautiful and understandably so, as it is the official church Douay-Rheims version. I use the Bible both to browse but also to study various books in depths. Now that I have some more time than before I am rediscovering the wonders of the Bible. I can take this with me on vacation or when I travel, and I know that I will always have the word of God with me at all time.I also recommend another wonderful book for all Christians which is (Secret) Diary of a Young Girl Christian (Special Kindle Enabled Edition with Interactive Table of Contents and Built in Audiobook Features)) (Christian Young People Stories). I have been reading chapters from this every day as well along with my Bible, and I do feel blessed and inspired every single day.

I am a brand new Kindle user having just received my Kindle yesterday. I wanted to have a Catholic Bible and settled on this version. I have read a New Living Translation and American Bible so the name spellings in this are very different. Once I understood this it was pretty easy to understand to whom the translation is referring. I wish this translation did not have all the "thee's, thou's, etc" but it is still pretty easy to read. I compared a very little of this translation to my American Bible Catholic Study Bible and it is quite different. But my purpose was to have a Bible on my Kindle. And it seems pretty easy to navigate to specific books and chapters so I can read specific books anywhere.

I had no idea someone would abbreviate and cut so much out of a "Catholic" Bible! edition. It is a condensed version at best and obviously misses some of the true treasured dialog

I really liked the illustrations in this Bible because it can help me picture some of the Bible stories. It took me some time to get used to reading the Bible on the kindle, but now I really like it.

If you people are really religious, why even place price on this? Surely you can find another way to make money. If you know your history, then hear me because this is just as bad as seling indulgences.

Had I had a chance to review this bible I would've not bought it. It is organized in a different manner than our regular Catholic bibles;I mean for, instance Psalm 51 is not the Misserere like in our regular catholic bibles.

Can't say much.I've been praying using this Bible and, although English is not my first language, I manage to understand it, sometimes recurring to the dictionary. It's easy to navigate through the books and chapters using the "list of contents". Most importantly, I can take it with me when I travel without adding 2kg to my backpack.

I just bought this and navigated to the 23rd Psalm as a test. It appears they are all off by 1 - What it identifies as Psalm 23 is actually Psalm 24. You have to read what it lists as Psalm 22 to see what should be Psalm 23. This is an unacceptable error and I will keep hoping that a better Catholic Bible makes it to Kindle.
