The Definitive Burt Bacharach Songbook, 2 discs, 2006, Universal and WMTV.

Hal David and Burt Bacharach have done a sensational job licensing and releasing welcome new items for fans like me with an insatiable appetite for anything that I can get my hands on.

I encourage customers to purchase anything on the Universal label, it is sure to have our composer's indelible stamp.

The makers are really pushing the envelope releasing two disc sets like this, all kinds of gems pop up.

The Pretenders The Windows Of The World

The lead singer of The Pretenders, Miss Chrissie Hynde, is a huge fan of Hal David and Burt Bacharach, it's nice to see the manufacturer take note.

There are number of cuts on the Definitive Burt Bacharach Songbook that display Dusty Springfield growing and expanding as an artist.

Look for Gene Pitney's version of Only Love Can Break A Heart.

Songs from both sides of the Atlantic, This Empty Place The Searchers, Be True To Yourself Bobby Vee.

A lot of bang for your money.
