2007 two disc (CD + DVD) pressing of this collection from the Algerian artists. The CD features 15 of his finest including 'Ya Rayah', 'Nokta' and 'Rock El Casbah' while the DVD features a documentary on Taha returning to his homeland of Algeria. Wrasse.

Rachid Taha produced a revolutionary sound when he first stepped on the scene. A new novel fusion of western sound with north African/Maghrebi influences. This trend held true throughout the first few CDs. Unfortunately after that while they held on to the great sound and technique that we all admire about Rachid, the novelty and innovation was gone and he seems to have stuck to a well tested and by now tired formula. I for one yern for the soul that was locked up in the first few releases. Still, the rating is a 4 out of 5 . A CD well worth the 9 bucks or so.
