Great for lyrics and if you wish to know the melody. The chords are NOT at all what Paul uses live or on recordings. I've played his songs on guitar for 40 years and had to figure them out via recordings. One must wonder WHO transcribes this stuff and how they get away with it. No fingerpicking patterns ... none done using the chords HE really plays.

Nice book otherwise. Glad I purchased it used for the lyrics only. One wishing to learn HOW to play a few Paul Simon songs EXACTLY as recorded, try Mark Hansons gem. Now THAT is how one really plays like Paul Simon.

I bought this book based on a previous review here, where the buyer said: "playing piano and keyboard, this book gives me all I want to now from Paul Simon. Highly recommended!" IT ONLY HAS THE MELODY AND LYRICS. Perhaps great if you play guitar or sing. But NOT for piano. I was so looking forward to having this awesome collection of sheet music -- now I have to figure out how to resell it or give it away to someone who might actually have use for it. It was my fault I didn't pay more attention to the actual book description, which clearly said: "Each song includes melody, guitar chords, and complete lyrics." Lesson learned.

This book has it all. From my side, playing piano and keyboard, this book gives me all I want to now from Paul Simon. Highly recommended!
