	SuperCube Reference Subwoofer: The SuperCubes set new performance standards for high-output ultra-compact subwoofers. With the new SuperCube Reference, Definitive sets new performance standards for subwoofers period! The Reference incorporates a 14" version of the 10" SuperCube® Technology driver pressure coupled to two 14" infrasonic radiators. All this is powered by an 1800-watt class D amplifier. 	SuperCube Trinity Signature Subwoofer: The new SuperCube Trinity Signature is a very special over-the-top powered subwoofer which was originally developed for the state-of-the-art electronic organ at Trinity Church in New York (which uses a huge multiple array of Definitive bipolar towers - one for each organ pipe). It delivers outstanding low frequency performance which heretofor has not been available in such a compact enclosure. In fact, it was designed to replace 5' x 5' x 8" boxes which had previously been used in organs of this type. Capable of prodigious output (in excess of 128 db at 20 Hz and 116 db at 16 Hz in a normal room) the Signature is also quick and highly detailed. I've owned a lot of powered subwoofers over the last 15 years.
M&K, Polk, Infinity, Cambridge Soundworks, Yamaha, Boston Acoustics, Advent.

None of these, with the exception of M&K have a sub on the market that can touch this subwoofer. Deep extension, oodles of power and sweet looking to boot.
As another reviewer noted, it probably doesn't weight 75 pounds on its own. In the box, yes, thats the weight. Out of the box it's 63 pounds. Still a very hefty sub especially when you consider its crammed into a 14" squared box. I emailed Definitive Technology to get some clarification on the performance specifications on this sub.
Although it's advertised everywhere that it will reach down to 13Hz, the useable frequency response is down to a more reasonable 20Hz -3db anechoic measured. So, in your room you may expect to see this output or even better if your room is on the smaller side (under 1500 cu.ft.)
The 10" driver weighs in at over 21 lbs. That's one heavy driver.
I'm extremely satisfied with the performance and can recommend it without reservation. However, one thing I do have an issue with is the auto-on feature. I like to listen at low volume now and again. When I do this, I lose the bass response in my system because this sub requires a stronger signal to turn it on. I think Definitive kind of blew it on this one by not offering a bypass feature that allows this sub to be constantly on instead of needing a signal to kick it into gear.
Other than that, this thing is truly a stellar performing subwoofer.

All I can say in a word is WOW. To be dubious about a claim that a 10" diameter cone can project 1,500-watt peaks is understandable. To see it demonstrated in a store, however, is something else.

Is it pricey? You betcha. But considering that its closest competitor is a $1,299 Klipsch that can only deliver about 25% less RMS power, it should come as no surprise that this is the Ferrari of subwoofers to get.

It will deliver clean-sounding bass that actually rattles the double-glazed windows of a 6-year old home when cranked to barely tolerable levels. And don't worry about blowing this beauty; it has automatic protection circuitry that will shut anything down before it harms itself. Tried cranking the subwoofer all the way and it performed admirably in this regard. That said, with the volume only turned up 1/2 way on the back of the subwoofer, I was hearing a pile of money slapped down on a desk with a huge audible THUMP...in a Spongebob cartoon. A cartoon, for crying out loud!

I put it through the motions, including the opening capital starship battle of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. It was a jaw-droppingly awesome experience. Even Rock Band 3 sounds better than before!

I highly recommend this subwoofer; it seems like a lot of money, but the quality of this speaker compared to others that are 1/2 its price is well worth the expenditure. Go for it!

Compact cabinet for so much sonic energy created. This sub woofer rocks the house. The first time we heard it kick in we thought the sounds were coming from a truck or plane outside the house. Great controls for cross-over, phase, etc. Good selection of connection methods too.
