I don't write many reviews but, seriously, this thing transforms the home movie experience to a completely different level. If you're like me you've probably thought that as long as the sub was pretty tight and not too weak or boomy than that's all you need. I had a Klipsch Synergy 12-inch sub in my previous house and thought I knew what a home theater was. WRONG!! Pair this with 4 good ceiling speakers (don't know what they are, but they're not junk--were installed by previous owner) and a Pro Center 1000 (yes, the 1000 is all you need for INCREDIBLE sound and loud, clean dialogue) and you've got a room for unbelievable pure cinematic pleasure! BTW, my room is a large media room 20 x 21, and the receiver is an older Denon AVR 2800 (brought from old house). Also tested the ProSub 800 and the Polk wireless.....the Polk was worthless and the 800 was solid but not even close to the same league as the Supercube III. Movies are now an event at my house! Hope this helps someone.

The form factor is so compact that it makes you wonder if the other buyers on Amazon who rated this product highly were wrong. After setting it up, you immediately find out why this little sub rocks. Highly recommended!!

If you want a boomy, rattle the neighbor's house sound, then this Supercube is not for you! Its tight, and crisp bass make it an excellent choice for a bedroom or small room HT set-up. It delivers well for both music and movies. As a plus, Definitive Technology's customer service is the BEST. Most small replacement parts for their speakers are sent out free. Warranty service, if ever needed, is painless and prompt.

The size of this sub is inversely proportional to it's sound quality!! Once out of the box it is really easy installing. I hooked up my Mythos Gems front speakers through it and the crossover is perfect. Also hooked up Mythos 7 (also 5 stars!!) as front speaker all hooked up on my Pioneer Elite VSX-23THX. It all worked great together. These sub are very well built and finished. On the other hand, it's heavy, but I guess it needs to be considering the power it radiates. Definitively 5 stars!!

We have a pretty big room with a high ceiling, but wanted to keep components as compact as possible without sacrificing sound quality. This little woofer is a knockout. Big, tight bass that starts to come a little loose only when you drive to what are really stupid levels -- which is the only reason I gave it four stars instead of five.

Had old Altec Lansing 10" SW that was showing it's age. Decided to go with small form factor with the idea of possibly using two units to fill my media room (20'x24') with low end audio goodness. I purchased one to check it out. I couldn't be more satisfied. This thing is great and I plan on ordering another one. Say what you will but I am convinced that two good performing units properly spaced blows away one higher end unit. Like others have commented, this unit has very good punch, is very tight and can easily rattle my windows which it did during the new Razor phone commercial recently airing on TV. So little yet so big in sound!

I had read all the other 5 star reviews and just had to see for myself. I replaced and older Sony powered sub woofer (to be fair, it was a lot less expensive) but I am happy to report the extra dollars were more than worth it. My system not only took on new life, but the depth and clarity of this little sub is amazing! I was pretty sure I would hear a difference in my CD's but was not prepared for the outstanding response I got from other sources (including Sirius). Absolutely fantastic. I can't recommend this sub enough.

I was worried about the size of the Definitve Technology SuperCube III. But not anymore.
It has a very clean bass response and my wife even commented on how good it sounds.
I am running it from a Yamaha A-700 for TV and DVD Movie sound with a PolkAudio SoundBar 50.
Also use it with FM. I suspect that the SuperCube III would even add quality to my Martin Logan Sequel II speakers in the music room.

For its size this sub delivers.Very well constructed,good looks,and smooth sound.Of course its ability to deliver excellent sound would be constrained by the size of the area.
