Product Description

Product Description

Lacquer sanding sealer spray is 100-Percent nitrocellulose interior sealer used as a first coat on any lacquer finishing project. Fast 30-minute dry and ready to sand in 1 hour. Extremely easy to sand. Blocks most stains from weeping through final finish coat. The first coat of finish has a tendency to harden upright wood fibers. This causes the surface to feel rough. Sanding cures this rough feel. Sanding after the first coat of finish can be laborious. This lacquer sanding sealer is formulated to work best as a first coat, it is easy to sand, and speeds up finishing because it dries fast. One coat will seal hard wood, soft wood, plywood, particleboard and mdf. It is non-toxic when dry. Available in convenient 12-ounce aerosol spray with an adjustable spray valve.

So i have done everything from oil poly, water poly, shelac (I like shelac), however after using spray lacquer by deft (sanding sealer then satin) i will never go back to brushing. You can do 3 coats with 45 minutes dry, then 30 mins, then 30 mins. Done in an afternoon and it looks GREAT!. Very pleased.

great product for guitar refinishing work.
The best sealer to support a nitro paint job.
The spray can is ideal for the DIY approach, and one can is more than enough for a guitar body.

I've used this product before on several projects, and it always does well. It's easy to use as a sealer/undercoat for lacquer top coats.

I work a lot with super-sculpey and have always had trouble sealing my work. Some may know that regular plastic sealers on sculpey never cure but remain tacky. I had one project that remained tacky for over a year as I wanted to see if it would eventually cure. It never did and I was forced to remove the "crystal clear" with alcohol.
I eventually discovered that Deft Lacquer Sanding Sealer works perfectly for sealing sculpey and providing a hard surface that can also be sanded and finished out after being sprayed on.
I'm not sure how Amazon get's around the Hazard Fees in shipping this but if you order it anywhere else to be shipped you will find yourself paying double price as they will add on the "shipping hazardous materials fee". This is the best price I've found for this product! Even better than if I go to my local hardware store!

Had a real problem. Home Depot and Lowe's quit carrying this brand of lacquer. I like and use this on my woodworking. So glad I found it in Amazon.
