5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Shoe, May 18, 2009
This review is from: Defy Rock Shoe - Men's by Evolv (Apparel)
Tried on many shoes to find one with some degree of comfort. Since a gout attack it is painful having toes crammed in some overly narrow pinpoint climbing shoe. This shoe was the best toe fit, most comfortable shoe I've ever found. It is wonderfully easy to slip on. And it performs great!!! Thanks Evolv.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic, July 28, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
These shoes are my first pair of climbing shoes. I originally looked at them while shopping for climbing gear at REI. There, the shoes were 90 dollars. I decided to hold off on buying them right away and looked them up on Amazon to see if they were cheaper, which they were. 35 dollars cheaper. Of course I bought them, knowing I would pay through the nose elsewhere. Not only were they a great value, they also are quite functional. When climbing, I've noticed better foot control and I'm able to grip smaller foot holds more easily. The toe box is perfect for me because it's not to small for my exceptionally large big toe. I've taken them outdoors to climb some cliffs over the lake 45 minutes away and it was the perfect way to break them in. The cliffs there ranged from 20 to 60 feet, and the shoes performed well the whole time. The range of climbing was from a 5-7 to about a 5-9 outdoors. Be warned, they take a few days to dry. The tar on the bottom is of good quality, especially compared to the shoes we give the climbers at the gym. The fact that I don't have to tie them is also a huge plus. Overall I am very well pleased with these shoes. One of the best investments I've made in climbing.

These shoes work great for indoor climbing, and they are the cheapest priced shoes on the market.
