5.0 out of 5 stars The Healing Power of a Memoir, February 5, 2010

Karen Mayer Cunningham presented a tale of healing which had a mystery within it. What was it about the doctor's visit in her son's life that led to his autism? Or was the autism always there but cloaked until a certain unspecified event revealed it? The healing power of what could be considered an exorcism is real. Her book is outstanding among the formulaic examples I have seen. It is real and compelling.

5.0 out of 5 stars The hope in Christ, December 17, 2009
This review is from: Defying Autism (Hardcover)
Before I give my review, I notice several reviews said Mrs. Cunningham claimed that all autistic children are "deathly, deathly ill with no hope for a cure." This was the diagnosis she was given about her son; this is clearly not, what she believes.

It has also been said she claims people with autism are possessed by demons; this again, is not true. She clearly states than are oppressed by the devil, which is true. In any area be it autism or something else it can be a tool the devil uses to kill, steal, and destroy.

I believe this book not only gives hope for healing, but also gives you tools to walk out the trial that is specifically called autism. God's grace is sufficient in the process and I believe this book will help explain walking out a very hard process. I am pleased to have it in my library and recommend it highly.
